Switching Between Devices to Be Connected

When HHKB Studio is turned on, it will automatically connect to the device that it was last connected to. Use the shortcut keys to manually switch to the device you want to connect to.

Switching between devices to be connected via Bluetooth

Press the [Fn] + [Control] + [1] to [4] keys (the number key to which the pairing information is registered) to connect to a device for which pairing information is registered to the relevant number key via Bluetooth.

Switching Between Devices to Be Connected via Bluetooth

During the connection process, the LED indicator light corresponding to the pressed number key lights up in blue. It will turn off after the connection is established.

For example, when the [Fn] + [Control] + [2] keys are pressed, the second LED indicator light from the left lights up as shown above.

HINT
  • For details about how to register the pairing information, refer to Bluetooth Connection.

  • You can also use the above-mentioned shortcut keys to change the connection from USB to Bluetooth. To use the keyboard without the USB cable, insert the batteries.

    You can also switch to Bluetooth connection while the keyboard is being powered by the USB cable.

Switching to USB connection

Connect the USB cable and press the [Fn] + [Control] + [0] keys to switch to the USB connection.

The keyboard will not switch to the USB connection simply by connecting the USB cable.

Switching to the USB Connection

During the connection process, the LED indicator lights all light up in blue. They will turn off after the connection is established.

How to check the connected device

To check the device connected with the keyboard, press the [Fn] + [V] keys.

The LED indicator status will change in the order shown below. Refer to "3" in the following table to check the status of the LED indicators that light up third.

Indicates that the keyboard is turned on.

Checking the Profile in Use

The light corresponding to the number of the profile that has been applied lights up once in white

Indicates the profile that has been applied.

The light corresponding to the number of the profile (Profile1 to Profile4) lights up once in white.

Bluetooth connection:

The light corresponding to the device to be connected lights up once in blue

USB connection:

USB Connection

All four lights light up once in blue

Indicates the connection status of the keyboard.

  • Bluetooth connection

    The light corresponding to the number key (1 to 4) to which the pairing information for the connected device is assigned lights up once in blue.

    (The figure shows an example of the LED indicator when the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth to the device assigned to the number [2] key)

  • USB connection

    All four lights light up once in blue.
